The Matthews Emerging Markets Equity Active ETF (MEM) generally aims to achieve its investment goals by committing at least 80% of its total net assets, including any borrowed capital used for investment, to equity securities. Specifically, it invests in the common and preferred stocks of companies located in developing economies. The fund's investment strategy focuses on identifying businesses with the potential for sustainable, long-term expansion. This selection process is driven by a comprehensive evaluation of each company's intrinsic attributes, which include, but are not limited to, its balance sheet strength, the size of its workforce, the consistency and volume of its cash flow, the expertise and integrity of its management team, its product and service offerings, its marketing strategies, the quality of its corporate governance, and its overall fiscal health.
